The newest additions to the range of Hyperion ESC are the "PSB" lineup, which all have Switching Power Supply BEC (Cool BEC, aka SBEC) on the controllers. BEC circuits supply power from your main battery pack to the receiver and servos. ''Normal'' step-down BEC are limited to 3S lithium packs as a maximum if you want to use even 3 servos.

But our Cool BEC ESC can power as many as 8 servos, and use main packs up to 6S!

Hyperion engineers did extensive radio noise research during the development of the PSB ESC with switching BEC, and developed the NET design approach (Noise Elimination Technology). NET incorporates novel engineering in three aspects of controller design. The end result is the quietest switching BEC ESC on the market today. We include a ferrite bead on the receiver connector, but it has never been required during extensive test flights on all common frequencies and various radio equipment. We suggest range checking with the bead, then remove it and try again. If you find no difference, you may remove it and save a little weight. It is just there as backup, in case your model has some unique problem with setup.
