First, hyperion Makes good products for a good Price! I have 2 1420 inet Charters, but this Time i wish me you create à New One which can Charge AND BALANCE my 13s Pack WITHOUT SPLITTING the Pack! Also a bigger Display which tells me all 14 Cell voltages on ONE SITE at the Display Would Be PERFECT! Can you Tell me, if hyperion makes à Charger like this in the near Future? Thanks, Michael

I had a hard time finding an adequately powerful power source for the Hyperion 720i that I bought. I decided to look to the sun for my power. Luckily I have a few solar panels lying around that I could finally put to some good use.

In the link to this picture you will find a Hyperion 720i hooked up to two 95 watt solar panels in parallel (in series the voltage is too high).

Since you are in the States, please try to contact Empire Hobby LLC (http://www.empirerc.com), they might have some spares from returned chargers and it will probably be cheaper to have them ship it to you.

If unsuccessful, please use the RMA form at http://www.hyperion-eu.com/support/rma/ to create a case and we will get back to you.

@heini:
I know, it can be a little confusing. I have uploaded a PDF to http://www.hyperion-eu.com/public/manuals/1420inet_connection_guide.pdf that shows how a split pack is connected via serializing of the mail wires. The important part is that the balance connector that relates to the cells that are closest to the negative lead is connected to port A and the balance connector related to the cells closest to positive lead is connected to port B.

When using the term "closest" above, I refer to electric potential, and not physical location on the pack, which can be arbitrary.

All Hyperion split packs are labeled with A and B on the balance connectors and that matches the markings on the charger.

@Giancarlo:
The only charger that can be used in network mode with the Hyperion EOS 1420i NET3 is an identical one, so to use networking, you would need two EOS 1420i NET3 chargers, which will allow you to charge up to 28S LiPo or LiFePO4 packs, though those packs has to be split in two sections, where each section is no more than 14S
