On May 2nd 2009, a new concept was introduced for the first time in Germany. In fact, the concept is new all-over. With more than 25 Hyperion models rigged up for teacher-student flights, no RC company has previously granted such risk-free access to test flights. Our 6 experienced pilots took people with varying experience in the air to present the models in their element and allow guest control.
The day was organized with fantastic help from the dedicated members of MSG Keltern, a perfectly located club near Stuttgart, Bavaria. Weather could not have been more perfect and we have never flown in a more beautiful scenery. Huge thanks for your great help and hospitality!
Both Hyperion aerobatic models and warbirds were available for test flying and were extensively flown. Between test flight sessions, the day saw some impressive models and flights from local members and guests as well as from Hyperion Team members Max Ebert and Gerhard Hanssmann.
During the past 2 years, the Hyperion Europe show team has perfected the test flying concept in Scandinavia and we are now rolling it out across Europe. We hope to bring it to a club near you in the future - we’d love to hear from you if your club could be interested in helping us host a Hyperion Flying Day. We have several concepts to offer. Airmix Flieger-TV was on-site. Stay tuned for a video from the event.

Who brought the AN-2 Antanov biplane? Would love to find one here in the U.S.A. Nice showing of different airframes.
